Rush House – Shanklin

If you’re planning on travelling with your dog please be aware that between May and September dogs are not allowed on the council owned beaches in Shanklin. The Waterfront Inn is a popular hotel that has a wonderful brasserie and bar. They serve lunch, afternoon tea and evening meals. Situated right on the seafront it’s in an excellent location.  For evening meals they offer 2 menus the Prix Fixe menu or the a la carte.  On the a la carte menu there is something for everyone including steak and plenty of sea food. There is also a children’s menu.

3 – The Old Thatch Tea Shop – 4 Church Road Shanklin

The Old Thatch Tea Shop is a traditional style, British tea rooms in a stunning thatched cottage that is over 300 years old. They have multiple menus including a Childrens Menu, Tea Menu and the all important Dessert menu.  You can indulge in a traditional afternoon tea or a spot of lunch with delicious sandwiches or light bites.

Shanklin is a fabulous holiday destination for people of all ages. There is plenty to do and see both nearby and across the Isle of Wight.
